I defenitely think that extending the thing is worth it. That would be really cool. Contact for some information, he already added image uploading support to it. He could give you some nice scripts in return for a tutorial on it I think <img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

I'm currently working on some DreamweaverMX updates to this extension for use with PHP file upload. I already have a basic file upload in pop-up window that does automatic duplicate renaming and status messages to show that each part of the upload process is successful. It sends the filename back to the page for insertion as a url in a database along with the article. I quickly discovered the limitation of this and am rewriting it to insert &lt;img&gt; tags in the content so it can be visually edited with multiple images and/or multiple links to files. It's shaping up into a very nice content management system. I wonder if anyone else has taken this approach or if there's an even better way. Apparently this PD editor has been around for a while now and I wonder if I might be duplicating lots of work. It makes for a nice education. Eventually I also want to be able to extract the image tags from the page content and delete them from the database and the server. Not quite sure how to do it yet, but will figure it out eventually and try to get the results posted where people can find them.
