Windows Fiji will have an updated UI and .Net Framework. WinFS will be applied over NTFS to give us Virtual Folders and last but not least the operating system will feature default playback support of HD-DVD (maybe even Blu-ray).

The user interface of Windows Vienna will be completely stripped and speech Recognition will become a major input device. Many projects from Microsoft’s R&D will come into play, especially from their VIBE research center. The new OS will also include a new version of NTFS wrapped in a more powerful WinFS. Search will part a huge part in Vienna  and some applications will be able to run in a more secure mode (like IE7 does in Vista), so that security exploits in a single application doesn’t affect the entire OS.
